I cannot say enough good things about Thompson Funeral Home, from my first call until everything was complete, the staff was wonderful. I had never had to plan a funeral before and literally had no clue what I was doing. Not only did I not know what I was doing, I was trying to navigate this planning during the worst time of my life. Upon my first call, the staff was warm and compassionate. They were able to get me in for a consultation that same day. I met with Debbie and she “took my hand” and guided me through the whole process. I can honestly say that when I left there I felt I was leaving my Mom in the care of someone who truly cared about her and felt at peace that Debbie was caring for her the exact same way I would myself. When it comes to the funeral industry, I have heard horror stories about the funeral home trying to upsell and make money, taking advantage of the family’s loved ones. Debbie never once tried to upsell me on anything and I never once felt like I was making a business transaction. She listened to what I wanted and guided me step by step on how to get it done. They literally were available 24/7 for any questions or concerns I had. I was so incredibly pleased with my Mom’s urn and the keepsake urn. Debbie and her staff even were so kind to plant a tree in my Mom’s memory. Such a thoughtful thing to do. The idea of losing another person I love is not something I look forward to, but I can guarantee that I will not hesitate to use Thompson Funeral Home again. Today, we honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001. We pay tribute to the heroes who showed incredible bravery and compassion in the face of tragedy, and we stand in solidarity with those whose lives were forever changed.
